The Role:

Were looking for an experienced Tree Care Foreman to lead our field crew. This hands-on leadership role includes managing job sites, ensuring safety, and performing tree trimming and removal tasks. This position will work actively as a member of a crew while leading their daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of climbers, groundsmen, and equipment operators.

• Oversee and participate in tree pruning, removals, and emergency storm response work.

• Ensure compliance with ANSI and OSHA safety standards, conducting job site safety briefings.

• Operate or assist with the operation of heavy equipment, including bucket trucks, cranes, lifts and chippers.

• Provide training and guidance to crew members to improve skills and productivity.

• Communicate effectively with customers, crew members, and management regarding job progress and expectations.

• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean and safe work environment.

• Perform tree pruning, and removals using climbing techniques and equipment.

• Assess tree health and safety during work and communicate observations with crew.

• Operate and maintain climbing gear, chainsaws, and other tree care equipment.

• Implement safe work practices in compliance with ANSI and OSHA standards.

• Assist in ground operations, including debris cleanup and equipment maintenance, as needed.

• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when representing Arborist Enterprises.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in tree care operations, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of tree pruning, removal techniques, and rigging practices.

• Ability to operate tree care equipment, including bucket trucks, chippers, and chainsaws.

• Valid Class A or B CDL preferred but not required.

• ISA Certification preferred but not required.

• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs. and work in varying conditions.

• Prior experience as a Tree Climber or in a similar role required.

• Proficiency in climbing with ropes, harnesses, and other equipment.

• Knowledge of tree species, pruning techniques, and industry safety standards.

• Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding outdoor conditions.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
