This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the education and development of students in a K-12 school setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). Located in Danville, VA, this contract role spans the entire school year, allowing for impactful and continuous support within the classroom environment.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Experience working with children across the K-12 age range
• Ability to implement speech-language therapy plans effectively under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, students, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs in a dynamic school setting

Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapeutic interventions to students with speech and language disorders
• Prepare materials and settings conducive to therapy sessions
• Monitor and document student progress, reporting findings as required
• Support classroom teachers in integrating speech and language strategies into daily instruction
• Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines in all student interactions
