Job Description

A school-based Social Worker is needed to provide essential mental health support across multiple K-12 school sites in Aurora, CO. This role offers the opportunity to work with elementary and secondary students throughout the school year on a contract basis. Flexibility is key, as assignments may evolve and vary among school locations.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct mental health services to students in diverse school settings
• Conducting and contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
• Performing special education evaluations as part of student assessments
• Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement tailored student support plans
• Adapting to changing assignment locations and student needs throughout the school year

Qualifications and experience:

• Valid State of Colorado Social Worker license or certification is required
• Demonstrated experience working in school-based environments is highly preferred
• Familiarity with special education processes, including IEP development and evaluations
• Comfort working across multiple school sites and with a range of age groups from elementary through secondary students
• Flexibility to adapt to shifting assignments and schedules

Positions offer varying hours to accommodate different preferences and availability, including 15 hours, 22.5 hours, and 30+ hours per week.
