About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director of Development to lead the establishment of multi-year contributions, identify new funding sources, and manage current donors. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a comprehensive fundraising plan that aligns with the organization's mission and vision, setting and achieving short- and long-range fundraising goals, and leading a development team in major gift solicitation, grant writing, and event planning. This role also involves external communications, marketing efforts, and serving on the site leadership team to drive and support organizational initiatives. The Managing Director will work closely with the Executive Director, Board Members, and the headquarters' development office to ensure the success of the fundraising strategy. Applicants for the Managing Director of Development position at the company should have a proven track record in fundraising and a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape. The role requires the ability to manage a team, establish and nurture relationships with donors, and lead the execution of a stewardship program. Strong communication skills are essential, as the position involves representing the organization at community events and collaborating with various stakeholders. Experience in financial reporting, budget management, and a proficiency in donor management systems are also necessary.
