Job Description
Excellence Auto Body & Repair is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle issues, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Knowledge of foreign cars, particularly Audi, BMW, and Mercedes Benz, is a plus.
The Lead Mechanic will be responsible for accurately diagnosing vehicles using diagnostic tools, overseeing the work of other mechanics, and ensuring efficient and high-quality repairs.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle problems accurately and efficiently.
Provide guidance and oversight to other mechanics, ensuring that work is completed to high standards.
Collaborate with service advisors to ensure clear communication regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
Test drive vehicles to confirm successful repair work and identify any additional concerns.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
Stay up-to-date on new technologies and advancements in the automotive industry through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
3-5 years of professional experience as an automotive mechanic.
Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex vehicle issues.
Experience working on foreign cars, particularly Audi, BMW, and Mercedes Benz, is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
