A respected NYC law firm is seeking to add a Hybrid eDiscovery Manager to their team to manage the day-to-day operations of the firm`s eDiscovery function across all of their practice groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with attorneys and litigation teams on eDiscovery strategy
  • Oversee and support the use of litigation support and eDiscovery platforms
  • Coordinate with IT and records departments to ensure preservation and defensibility of client data
  • Select, manage, and evaluate third-party eDiscovery vendors and service providers
  • Develop workflows and protocols to standardize eDiscovery practices
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Provide training and support to attorneys and staff

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor`s degree required; JD, paralegal certification, or advanced degree in information science or legal studies preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in eDiscovery or litigation support in a law firm, corporate legal department, or vendor environment
  • Certifications such as ACEDS (Certified eDiscovery Specialist) or RCA (Relativity Certified Administrator) are a plus
  • Strong understanding of the EDRM (Electronic Discovery Reference Model) and relevant rules of civil procedure
  • Experience implementing defensible preservation and collection protocols
  • Familiarity with information governance, privacy, and data security principles
  • Proficiency with industry-standard eDiscovery platforms and tools
  • Experience managing document reviews, productions, and complex data sets
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and commitment to client service
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
  • Ability to travel to Buffalo, NY once per quarter provide training and support to attorneys and staff
