Department of Investigation - eDiscovery Analyst The New York City Department of Investigation (DOI) is one of the oldest law enforcement agencies in the country, dedicated to combating municipal corruption. It acts as an independent, nonpartisan watchdog for New York City government, City agencies, employees, vendors with City contracts, and entities receiving City funds. The DOI is seeking an eDiscovery Analyst to support confidential investigations by managing electronically stored information. Responsibilities include: Implementing and configuring Nuix solutions for eDiscovery projects. Conducting data processing, including ingestion, filtering, and export of electronic data. Performing complex searches and data analysis using Nuix tools. Developing and executing strategies for data review and production. Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions. Maintaining chain of custody for all eDiscovery data. Training staff and law enforcement on Nuix best practices. Staying updated on Nuix features and industry trends. Preparing documentation and reports. Providing technical support and troubleshooting. Assisting in creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures. Testifying in court proceedings when required. Applicants will undergo fingerprinting and a background check, including a review of consumer credit history if applicable, as per NYC law. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent plus four years of experience in investigation, law enforcement, security, or related operational areas; or Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution; or Equivalent education and/or experience. Preferred Skills Baccalaureate degree in Forensic Computing, Computer Science, or related fields, or two years of eDiscovery experience. Experience with Nuix and related certifications. Knowledge of federal and state eDiscovery laws and methodologies. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to testify in legal settings. Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple investigations. Innovative problem-solving skills and ability to train peers. Additional Information Eligible employees may qualify for federal loan forgiveness programs. Residency in NYC or nearby counties may be required within 90 days of appointment.
