Per diem is based on days worked $ 95.00 must meet requirements to qualify for per diem. Disa testing and background required. As a Combination Pipe Welder for our PICCo project CP Chem in Orange, Texas you will contribute to our team by: Experience: Experience in the industrial industry (petrochemical, power plant, cement plant) or related field, with four or more years of experience as a Combo Pipe Welder. Must have a working knowledge of pipefitting techniques Strong working knowledge of and experience working with pipe welding. Experience with the methods and techniques used to level, plumb, align, and set the equipment and piping. Knowledge of and experience working with the chemical composition of metals, compounds, alloys, heat transfer rates, thermal expansion, and material strength. Skills: Able to effectively use verbal and written communication skills. Able to use torch cutting equipment as well as pipe cutting/beveling machines. Knowledge of materials which requires the proper pre-heating prior to cutting or welding. Able to understand and apply applicable welding codes. Able to read and understand weld procedures Able to weld in various positions 2G, 5G, 6G, etc. Able to weld with dual/different processes. Able to pass welding test per project specifications and/or weld procedure. Able to perform welding duties to meet project specifications and code criteria.
